Points-Based Eligibility Assessment
Know if you qualify before you apply
Modern immigration systems rank candidates by points — age, education, experience, and country ties. This assessment tool maps your profile against standard qualification thresholds and shows exactly where you stand, what's missing, and how to close the gap.

How the points are calculated
Four categories determine your eligibility score. Each one is modeled after real government criteria.
Age
Younger applicants earn the highest points. Ages 18-29 score maximum (30 pts), declining to 0 after 50. Your career runway matters to immigration systems.
Education
Degrees and diplomas translate directly to points. A PhD earns 30 pts, a Master's 25, a Bachelor's 20. Credential recognition varies by country.
Work experience
6+ years of relevant experience earns 30 pts. 3-5 years earns 20. Experience in the destination country or in a high-demand field earns bonus points.
Country bonus
Having studied or worked in the destination country, or applying from a country with a trade agreement, adds 3-5 bonus points to your total.
What to know about immigration points
Three truths about how points-based immigration actually works.
Score threshold
Every country sets a minimum score. If you don't hit it, your application won't proceed. The calculator shows exactly how close you are.
Bonus categories
Language proficiency, provincial nomination, spousal qualifications, and job offers add significant points — often 20-50 extra.
Continuous improvement
Points change as you age, gain experience, or upgrade credentials. Check your score every 6 months to know when you're ready.
